Problems arise when Georges' son Jean-Michel announces that he is engaged to Anne Dindon, the daughter of a well-known homophobic politician. Jean-Michel wants to hide is father's partner Albin, a drag headliner at the nightclub La Cage Aux Folles, from Anne's parents. Albin is hurt and insists on making an appearance. Can the Dindons accept Albin for who he is?
